Team, with the SAVE Act already having passed the House and now looming in the Senate, a far-right activist group just launched a new pressure campaign to try to ram through this massive voter suppression bill. 

The Tea Party Patriots are stoking discredited myths about non-citizen voting to rally their base of far-right activists to pressure Senators — especially those facing reelection — to pass this bill. This kind of pressure can be effective as we saw when the President and his allies pushed some Republican lawmakers to drop their reelection bids over the recent government spending bill.

Fair Fight Action is exposing the SAVE Act’s true, voter-suppressing consequences. If signed into law, the SAVE Act could disenfranchise tens of millions of Americans, disproportionately impacting low-income Americans, seniors, rural voters, and people of color. The Tea Party Patriots have been around since Barack Obama’s presidency, and they got their first big break with a massive fear-mongering pressure campaign against the Affordable Care Act. 

They also pitched in funding for the rally that led to the January 6 insurrection. That rally was about overturning a fair election and silencing the voice of the people, so it’s no surprise that the Tea Party Patriots are attempting to do that once more with the SAVE Act. 

The SAVE Act is a key part of the far-right’s national voter suppression playbook ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. While the Tea Party Patriots organize volunteers and plan rallies to shore up support for massive voter suppression, Fair Fight Action is fighting back.
