The Texas House Democrats are denying quorum to stop the Trump takeover of Texas and block his attempt to rig the 2026 midterm elections.
This isn’t just about redistricting or one state’s politics. It’s about the future of our democracy. Congressional Republicans can’t win with their unpopular policies and their failure to deliver on key campaign promises. (Grocery prices are up by three percent since last year, and tariffs are driving costs up even more.) So, President Trump has demanded that Governor Abbott and Texas Republicans discriminate against Black, Latino, and Asian voters by eliminating the districts of the representatives they have elected to Congress. We’re not going to let that happen.
