Last week, Texas Democrats broke quorum to stop Republicans from stealing the 2026 midterm elections.
After Donald Trump demanded that Texas Republicans redraw their state maps to ensure Republicans would pick up 5 more congressional seats, Texas Democrats sprang into action to ensure that Trump doesn’t get his way.
These Texas Democrats are doing this at great personal sacrifice. In addition to being away from their family (and jobs) to ensure Republicans can't get a quorum, they are also being fined $500/day and will be lambasted with negative ads in their districts funded by Governor Greg Abbott. If they are going to be able to hold out long enough for this to count, they’re going to need our help.
