Friend,
Yesterday, President Trump effectively made our nation’s capital a militarized zone when he ordered the federal government to take over District of Columbia law enforcement and deployed National Guard troops “to crack down on crime and violence.”
What Donald Trump is doing is not protecting the American people – full stop.
He is lying about crime rates to justify his overreach and, meanwhile, is dismantling the very initiatives that have helped reduce crime rates in D.C. and across the country.
We cannot let Trump make a mockery of our troops, our cities, and our country. He’s already deployed troops in D.C. and threatening to take over more cities. I’m calling on you, friend, and every dedicated activist that loves our country to condemn this move by President Trump. >> [[link removed]]

President Trump claims that crime in Washington, D.C., is at an all-time high – this is a lie to justify armed intimidation and over-policing.
This is the same Trump who inspired a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, and proceeded to pardon the violent criminals who were convicted in the attack.
Crime in D.C. was at a 30-year low when Trump took office. This is directly thanks to the investment that the Biden Administration made in community-based violence intervention groups in D.C. and its passage of the historic Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
Donald Trump is not only ignoring the facts, but is dismantling the life-saving actions that Biden took to keep Americans safe from gun violence. We cannot remain quiet while Trump continues his march toward authoritarianism – please, condemn Trump’s dangerous takeover of Washington, D.C. NOW. >> [[link removed]]
