While no single policy will undo centuries of systematic racism and oppression in our nation, the Justice in Policing Act is a necessary step in the right direction. The bill is a historic package of actionable reforms that will hold law enforcement officers accountable for their actions and works towards ensuring that the senseless and intentional taking of Black lives never happens again. The House of Representatives has already passed it -- now the Senate needs to act.
