Let’s be crystal clear about something: This isn't just about Tennessee.
This is about a coordinated attack on our rights taking place across the
country. This is about anti-choice ideologues' long-term strategy to chip
away at our reproductive freedom everywhere they can, in every way they

Anti-choice extremists are passing these bills with the explicit intention
of getting a case in front of the anti-choice, anti-freedom majority on
the Supreme Court — and they’re not even pretending to hide it.
Republican state Senator Mike Bell said the Tennessee legislation was
specifically crafted to give the state “multiple shots” at ending Roe v.
Wade.^1 And an official for the governor’s office said that the bill was
structured to allow them to “play both the long game and the short game”
in their crusade to ban abortion in Tennessee.^2 In fact, the bill is
already being challenged in court to protect access to abortion care in
the state.
