Hi John,
We’re coming up on an important deadline, so I want to make sure you saw my last email. It’s up to us to stop the climate chaos plan and make sure that climate denial does not become the official U.S. policy. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protects us from pollution that’s harmful to our bodies and planet. We can’t roll back the EPA’s standards for vehicles, power plants, and other climate-harming pollution. Please take a second to send your message now so we can stay protected tomorrow!

If we take these proposed detrimental steps back, our health and environment will pay the price later.
DEADLINE TODAY 8/12: If you’re able to testify at the virtual public hearing for these proposed changes, the deadline to register is TODAY 8/12. Please find more information about how to register here. The hearing will take place on Zoom on August 19th and 20th, and all attendees must register. Sincerely, |

Dear John,
The current administration is up to no good again, this time attacking our public health and pollution policies, and attempting to implement a climate denial plan that will roll back the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) standards for vehicles, power plants, and other climate-harming pollution. John, will you take a second to protect our health, environment, and economy? |
Donald Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin are putting forward a plan that claims climate change and the pollution that causes it pose no threat to public health or the environment. Zeldin and Trump’s Climate Chaos Plan makes climate denial official U.S. policy, and they intend to undo standards that limit pollution from cars and trucks, power plants and other sources of climate pollution. This Climate Chaos Plan is a cornerstone of Trump's Polluters' First Agenda that will do nothing to bring down costs or improve health for American families, and in fact will increase pollution that causes severe health conditions like asthma and lung cancer. It lets polluters get richer while we pay the price – with our health, our wallets, and our lives.
They will do this by eliminating the Endangerment Finding, which gives the EPA authority to regulate climate pollution. This move denies basic facts of climate change, and repeals carbon pollution and air quality protections that will increase Americans' energy costs, drive up prices on everyday goods and services, eliminate thousands of good-paying jobs, and result in tens of thousands of lost work days every year. Essentially, putting polluters and their profits over people.
Additionally, the EPA has proposed to roll back minimum federal standards for greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles, increasing our risk for cancer and chronic disease, while damaging our environment and economy. Without these standards, American families will have to pay more for the next generation of cars, as they will be significantly more expensive to fuel, maintain, and repair. Not to mention, this would end the over 50 year practice of vehicle standards by the federal government.
