Prepare for You Maine Moose Hunt
Another great resource is the Maine Moose Hunter’s Guide (PDF) which covers everything from scouting to meat care. This is not required to read before the workshops, but it is helpful to review before the hunt.
If you were selected for an Adaptive Unit/WMD 4A permit, learn about the special requirements. The moose hunting workshops above are not a substitute for the required Pre-Hunt Briefing and Knowledge Assessment for 4A Hunters, but if you want to learn more about moose hunting, the 4A hunt will also be discussed at the above workshops.
