And the administration announced that starting next month they will stop mailing checks to the roughly 700,000 beneficiaries who receive their Social Security benefits by check.

Whether it’s the more than 3,650,000 new annual enrollees, or the millions of people with disabilities, surviving spouses, and children who rely on Social Security’s modest benefits to survive, these cuts to the Social Security Administration are making it more difficult for everyday people to access the benefits they’ve earned over a lifetime of work.
