John,
Cuts at the Social Security Administration are causing widespread problems―putting barriers between us and our earned Social Security benefits.
Due to Donald Trump and Elon Musk pushing out 7,000 Social Security experts, phone lines are overwhelmed and errors are being made with the disbursement of people’s benefits.
This week, as Social Security turns 90 years old, we’re demanding Congress fully fund the SSA, rehire staff, and give the American people the world class service we deserve.

Whether it’s retirement, disability, or survivor benefits, a missed payment could mean the inability to put food on the table or pay for medically necessary prescription drugs.
Thank you for fighting back against devastating cuts to the most successful social program in our country’s history.

John,
This week, Social Security celebrates its 90th birthday, and for 90 years this celebrated program has paid benefits in full and on time. Now, that’s in jeopardy.
The Social Security Administration has always provided world class service, helping people navigate the most consequential financial decisions of their lives. And it does so at a fraction of the price of private pensions. Social Security spends less than 1% on administration, while private companies spend as much as 15%.
But now, even as 10,000+ baby boomers reach retirement age every day, Donald Trump and Elon Musk have pushed out 7,000 Social Security experts and replaced them with an AI chatbot.
Between a broken chatbot and overwhelmed phone lines, the Trump administration is putting up barriers between us and our earned Social Security benefits.
On the 90th birthday of Social Security, send a message demanding Congress save the Social Security Administration from the Trump administration’s attacks.
Trump's Social Security Commissioner is pulling SSA staff from field offices to answer calls on the overwhelmed phone line. And the administration announced that starting next month they will stop mailing checks to the roughly 700,000 beneficiaries who receive their Social Security benefits by check.
Whether it’s the more than 3,650,000 new annual enrollees, or the millions of people with disabilities, surviving spouses, and children who rely on Social Security’s modest benefits to survive, these cuts to the Social Security Administration are making it more difficult for everyday people to access the benefits they’ve earned over a lifetime of work.
Take action today and send a message to Congress to save the Social Security Administration from Trump and his cronies.
We’re demanding that Congress restore SSA’s full funding, rehire its staff, and give Americans the Social Security system we’ve paid for and deserve.
Thank you,
