There's an important deadline for our campaign coming up in three days: the quarterly Federal Election Commission fundraising filing deadline.

After we file, we'll release our fundraising numbers from the last three months. People will wait to see how much the grassroots movement that took down one of the most powerful, entrenched incumbents in Congress has raised — and we need to show everyone that we have the grassroots power to fund our larger movement.

We're hoping to file our strongest numbers yet and end the quarter on a high note with $1,750,000 in fundraising. Currently, we're $30,000 shy of reaching our goal; will you chip in $5 and help us close this gap?

Winning our primary was just the start of a bold, progressive movement that we're building together.

We must now focus on maintaining — and building upon — the momentum we've seen over the past month, so we can bring even more leaders like Jamaal who are ready to cause problems for the people maintaining the status quo in Washington.

As Jamaal said: if we can beat entrenched power and wealthy interests here in Westchester and the Bronx, then we can do it all across this country and change the course of our nation.

We're currently making big plans to support leaders like Jamaal who are ready to fight for working people in office, but it's going to require us to start off next quarter on a high note.
