The Trump Administration wants to kick 23 million Americans off of their health plans.

In the middle of a global pandemic. With millions out of work. This is cruelty.

This past Thursday, the Trump administration filed a brief to the Supreme Court telling the Court that “the entire ACA must fall.”

They argue that without the individual mandate, the law must be eliminated. Who helped the Republicans eliminate the individual mandate? Susan Collins.

The 2017 Republican Tax Scam, which Susan Collins fully supported, eliminated the individual mandate, opening the door to legal challenges to the ACA. Collins has tried to say that she didn’t know that eliminating the individual mandate would put the entire law at risk...except she did know. Years earlier, she actually signed on to an Amicus Brief that advocated for just that. The destruction of the ACA has been their goal from the beginning.

If the ACA is eliminated, it will be a disaster for Maine. Nearly 100,000 Mainers could immediately lose their health coverage, and hundreds of thousands more with pre-existing conditions would be put at risk. But all Collins seems to care about is making sure her wealthy donors get a tax break.
