Local Action, Lasting Impact

Big changes rarely begin in Washington—they start right here at home. Local elections may not always make national headlines, but they shape the communities we live in every single day. From school boards to city councils to county commissions, the decisions made at the local level directly impact our families, our freedoms, and our future.

As Republicans, we believe in personal responsibility, limited government, and strong families. But those values don’t protect themselves. If we want leaders who will uphold our principles—leaders who will defend freedom, promote accountability, and keep government in check—we have to elect them. That starts with showing up to vote.

The Utah State Primary is today, Tuesday, August 12th. We’re encouraging every voter to take the time to research the candidates in your area, choose the one who most aligns with your conservative values, and make a plan to vote. Whether it’s by mail or in person, your voice matters.

Protecting Utah’s future starts in our own neighborhoods. Let’s make sure our local leadership reflects the values that make this state strong.

— Robert Axson

Chair, Utah Republican Party

Stop Outside Influence

Out-of-state PACs are pouring tens of thousands of dollars into Utah to flip Republican seats and push a national agenda that doesn’t reflect our values. These groups don’t live here, don’t share our priorities, and have no interest in preserving what makes Utah exceptional.

As UTGOP Chairman Robert Axson said:

“These Republican legislators are being targeted because they’ve stood strong for Utah values: life, liberty, and family. Out-of-state PACs don’t represent Utahns. Their record is one of California money trying to buy influence rather than the record of accomplishment and service our Republican legislators provide. We’ll proudly defend our Utah legislators and keep fighting for the principles that make Utah strong.”

Conservative values have kept Utah on the right path — with balanced budgets, economic opportunity, strong schools, and safe communities. We can’t let outside money tear that down.

Help us defend our seats and go on offense in Democrat-held districts. The best way to fight back is with grassroots support from Utahns like you.

Let’s keep Utah strong — and keep it Utah.

Party in Action: Recent Wins & Updates

We’re continuing to build momentum as we move through the final months before the General Election. Over the past few weeks, we’ve worked to strengthen coordination, connect with voters, and ensure our Party is prepared to win across the state.

A few key highlights this month:

  • Continued strong fundraising to support candidates up and down the ballot
  • Strategic coordination with local campaigns on messaging and outreach
  • Ongoing volunteer organizing to support voter contact efforts
  • Successful State Central Committee meeting to align on key Party decisions
  • Ongoing meetings with county chairs and grassroots leaders to stay unified

Each of these efforts brings us one step closer to victory in November. Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, give their time, and help advance our shared conservative vision for Utah.

Let’s keep pushing forward.
