[1]Eugene Vindman for Congress
Yesterday, Trump announced his latest political stunt: Deploying the National Guard right here in D.C.
Let me get this straight: Trump “didn’t have the power” to deploy the Guard when insurrectionists were attacking the Capitol on January 6th. But now he can use them to distract from his deeply unpopular agenda and his involvement in the Epstein files?
This is what abuse of power looks like.
I’ve served in the Army for over two decades. I’ve seen how the military should be used — to protect our nation, not to settle personal vendettas or distract from political scandals. The military and our National Guard belong to the American people, not to one man’s political ambitions.
Trump’s attempts to turn our service members into pawns in his political games are not only wrong, they are dangerous. And if we let this slide, he’ll only abuse his power more.
Trump’s self-serving agenda demands accountability. And I’m going to be the one to give it to him. I’ve stood up to Trump before when I blew the whistle on him, and I’m not afraid to do it again.
But I’m one of his top targets: National Republicans have already made that clear. They’ll spend whatever it takes to remove me from Congress — because they know I’ll hold Trump accountable every single time he abuses his power.
So I’m asking:
Will you chip in whatever you can today to help me fight back and defend our democracy from Trump’s dangerous abuses of power?

It's times like these where it's crucial that we stand together and fight back. I hope you’ll stand with me.
