Hello John,

I hope you're keeping well.

As part of the Climate Youth Delegate Programme, we will be conducting an online consultation where young people's opinions and perspectives will be shared directly with the Department of Climate, Energy & Environment. There is no other consultation in Ireland where youth voices will feed directly into the national priorities on climate change - so this is a major opportunity for meaningful advocacy.

Who: young people aged 13-35 living in Ireland
What: Youth Climate Consultation 2025
Where: Online (Zoom)
When: 11am-1pm on Aug 26th
Register now >>
This year's COP30 (and thus our consultation) is focusing on 5 main topics:
  • Just Transition - particularly in relation to fairness & responsibility of the climate crisis
  • Gender - supporting a feminist approach in our climate actions, and including rights for non-binary, transgender, and self-identifying young people
  • Human Rights - reducing/removing risks that infringe on human rights
  • Mitigation - steps to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions
  • Adaptation - ensuring protections for those more vulnerable from climate disasters
Whether you know lots or little about climate change - your opinions and perspectives are hugely valuable!

If you have any further questions, please do get in touch.

All the best,

Eimear
