Representative Jones has not been a meaningful voice for women in Georgia – she helped pass a draconian abortion ban that criminalizes women and doctors. Georgia already has one of the highest rates of maternal mortality in the country, and now the state's failure to accept Medicaid expansion has caused numerous rural hospital closures, making access to healthcare even harder for all women. It’s clear the women of Debra’s district need a different woman to represent them in the state legislature.
