   Hi John, Team
Jayapal here with an update on our push to buy new backpacks for kids in
   need across Pramila’s district.
Our goal is to provide 100+ kids with fully prepared backpacks, stocked
with pencil cases, binders, calculators, paper, and more — all donated by
tomorrow. That’s when our team will be on site with FamilyWorks to help
sort supplies and pack these new bags.
We saw an incredible response to our first email, but we still need
another push to reach our goal before tomorrow!
[ [link removed] ]Will you read more about the initiative below and then pitch in
$3 or whatever amount you can to help us purchase school
supplies for families in our community?
Every dollar you donate will go directly to purchasing these crucial
   supplies.
   Thank you for your support,
   Team Jayapal

   John,
This moment demands that all of us pitch in to help one another.
That’s why my campaign is launching a big push to provide kids with
backpacks this back to school season — and we need your help.
My campaign is partnering with FamilyWorks to buy new backpacks for kids
in need across my district. Our team of volunteers will be there on August
12, sorting supplies and packing these new bags with crucial school
   supplies.
   Here’s our goal:
   🎒 100+ backpacks fully prepared
✏️ Stocked with pencil cases, calculators, binders, and more
📆 All donated by Tuesday, August 12
This is exactly what our campaign is about. We’ve always had a year-round
organizing program because I know that being a member of Congress means
you can’t just fight in DC, you need to organize within the community.
Right now, in our district — which is home to some of the wealthiest
people in the country — about 10% of children are living in poverty. And
Trump’s Big Ugly Betrayal Bill will only deepen this crisis, plunging more
families across the country into poverty.
That’s exactly why we need a resistance at every level. Why we need to
build community that stands up for one another.
A backpack might not sound like a big cost, but there are far too many
kids who are going into the next school year without one because their
parents need to decide between buying a new backpack or paying the utility
bill, skyrocketing grocery costs, or rising rents.
But I know we can help. My campaign won’t sit back while families struggle
to make ends meet this back to school season.
This is a community-powered effort to make sure every student in Seattle
starts the school year with the necessary tools to thrive on their
   academic journey.
Members of our campaign team will be on-site helping to sort and assemble
backpacks, but we need your help to buy the supplies.
[ [link removed] ]Can you pitch in by making a donation to our Back to School program
today? Every dollar raised will go to purchasing supplies for families in
   our community.

                                 [ [link removed] ]Contribute

Your donation will help purchase high-priority items like scientific
calculators, 3-ring binders, staplers, and college-ruled paper. These are
basic tools that make a big difference.
Together, we can help hundreds of kids show up feeling confident and ready
   for the new school year.
   In solidarity,
   Pramila Jayapal
