Green Party of New York Newsletter - Summer 2025

Greens and Allies,

We hope this message finds you safe and well despite the turbulent times we are in. It has been painful to bear witness to the forced starvation of the Palestinians in Gaza as Israel expands their occupation with the blessings of the Trump administration while the Democrats continue with their tepid resistance because both parties are beholden to AIPAC and Wall Street.

The Green Party stands alone as the only pro-worker, anti-genocide, climate emergency electoral party taking action and running candidates that put people, planet and peace above profit.

The Green Party of the United States 2025 virtual Annual National Meeting just concluded and perhaps some of you were in attendance. Miko Peled gave a powerful keynote address. There were workshops on media, ballot access and running for office to name a few. You can view it all at [link removed].

The Green Party of New York is co-sponsoring the upcoming Green Eco-Socialist Network webinar on August 16.

Look who is running for office in Rochester!

Dave Sutliff-Atias, seasoned candidate and Secretary of the Monroe County Green Party is on the ballot this November for an at-large seat on the Rochester City Council. Check out www.daveforchange.org <[link removed]> to see how you can support Dave!

Are you ready to stand up and make a difference?

You should run for office! We are gearing up for the 2026 midterms. Governor, Lt. Governor, State Assembly and Senate and Federal House of Representatives races will shape the future next year. Our platform of People, Planet and Peace is more popular than ever. Please contact [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> if you are interested or want more information. Some preliminary information is available at [link removed].

We deeply appreciate our supporters who have been with us all the way in the fight to reinstate our ballot line by striking down the undemocratic change in election law. Stay tuned for the next legal update.
