We had the chance to work with such bright and inspiring young leaders during this Democracy Summer.

From knocking on doors and calling voters to planning events and meeting with local elected officials, our fellows were passionate, committed, and eager to learn.

They reminded voters to request their mail-in ballots, helped us strengthen local campaigns ahead of this November, and even got creative – thinking of ways to motivate young people to stay involved in our democracy.

And along the way, they made it fun. They marched with us in the Glenside Fourth of July parade – handing out candy to kids – and visited the Constitution Center to learn more about the history of our fundamental institutions.

Our fellows are a reminder that democracy is most effective when we bring more voices to the table, especially young ones.

So, from all of us on Team Dean, thank you Jonah, James, Laila, Eleanor, Keaton, Ethan and Zain for your dedication, and the spirit you brought this summer!
