Temporary Non-preferred Drug Status to Start Sept. 1, 2025
On Sept. 1, 2025, VDP will begin identifying some drugs with temporary non-preferred status. These are new-to-market drugs available on the Medicaid formulary but that have not yet been reviewed by the Texas Drug Utilization Review Board for a preferred drug list status, either preferred or non-preferred.
