We partnered with the Arlington Public Library to create a monthly Bike Book Club. There is still time to read September's book Mating in Captivity by Esther Perel. This is a great book for singles, people who are in committed relationships, and those who are married alike. We’ll meet at Clarendon Metro and bike to Westover Library to discuss the book. It’s the perfect way to explore Arlington while meeting new people and getting a workout!
The Disaster Relief Trials asks you—yes, you!—how you would use your bike in a disaster. We’ll supply the scenarios, and you supply yourself and a bike. Unlike other bike challenges that test your ability to ride a certain distance, this ride will test you, your bike, AND teach new skills that’ll make you a hero in an emergency. You can still register or bring the whole family to the Finish Festival at Gateway Park in Rosslyn.
Summer in the DC region can usually be described as hot, hot, hot... (and humid). But that doesn't mean you have to give up biking to work or to your favorite places.
BikeArlington is a program of Arlington County Commuter Services, within the Department of Environmental Services. BikeArlington is an effort to build on an existing partnership between Arlington residents, businesses, and County staff to encourage more people to bike more often.
