Hello, True Texans!
Elections are coming!!!! Providing recommendations is one of my favorite things we do at True Texas Project. So far we've made a handful of easy endorsements for incumbents that we had endorsed in the past, who had lived up to our expectations, and who had asked! This is not even close to the full list of incumbents or challengers we will be supporting. It's just an exciting start! You can see them here.
Candidate Interviews Attention candidates! Fran and I will conduct PRIMARY interviews the last week of October. Our interviews are for all Tarrant County candidates, as well as anyone running for an office larger than the county level. So this would include State Reps, State Senators, all statewide offices, and many judicial positions. These interviews are 15 minutes. We don't waste time on chit chat and niceties. Come prepared. They are conducted via zoom. Email [email protected] for the sign up link. After you sign up, you'll be emailed a questionnaire to prepare in advance.
For all other races, if we have a satellite or home group in your area, that's where you'll interview. See our website. If we do not have one in your area, we will look for a trusted local activist or group to give input.
For those that we already know we will not be supporting, we have no interest in "playing fair." We are too busy to waste anyone's time and do a fake interview. Sorry, not sorry.
If you know a candidate, spread the word, and let the games begin!
Survey Says... Will you help us with a quick, 1-question survey? We're about to plan a conference and want your input on the location!
Creative Wins! I have good news on the fundraising front! As you know, we've been working hard all year to make up for a huge budget deficit. We are certainly not out of the woods yet, but one donor was inspired to donate NVDA stock (sa-weet!), and another has offered up a $5000 matching grant! So if we play this right, that's $10,000 towards the $45,000 we still need to raise. What a blessing! But it requires YOU to jump in. The only way to match that $5,000 is if a BUNCH of YOU jump in to Turn Up The Texas Heat!
In The News Our own Fran Rhodes was in the news this week, and it went nationwide! This was in regards to the bill protecting women, which Fran testified on in Austin. You can read her quote here. It was in several papers that I'd never provide a link to, so that's just one of them.
Redistricting Efforts - Tried & True Want some practical information on the redistricting effort and the threatened lawsuits? On our podcast for August, Fran and I interviewed Robin Armstrong. You may not know that besides being our Texas representative to the RNC, he's also a County Commissioner in Galveston. They fought through the same redistricting attacks that our state legislature is fighting now, and he's got some great insight and encouragement to share. Make sure to check it out!
Happening This Week
I hope you guys aren't missing out on all the fun! This past week we had some great events, including our hugely successful Boot Scootin' Benefit. We raised over $10,000 for flood relief in Central Texas, and we had a ton of fun dancing, singing, and hanging out with new friends. Check out our pics and videos.
We've got more events planned for this week. You should go!
Calendar 📆 Here's our August calendar, and we've got great opportunities for you to connect with like-minded patriots! We need each other for support, plus there are lots of great speakers to help educate and train you for stronger activism. Click the bars below to see all these events online with full details.
Monthly TTP podcasts Our August podcast is out! Fran and I interviewed our two representatives on the Republican National Convention, and I learned a lot!

Livestream Event Over and over again, people are asking us to address the issue of cloud seeding and geoengineering. One of our trusted allies, Tom Glass, will speak on this at our September meeting in the Hill Country. This meeting will be livestreamed on our Facebook page and then added to our Rumble account. It's the only meeting he's able to attend (due to his campaign for State Senate D7, he is not able to make the full circuit of TTP meetings). Save the date now. [Note: the calendar link does not yet have full details, but you can get the date and address. Also, we will provide the link to the Rumble recording after the event is over. You can find our Facebook page here.]
It's an honor to serve alongside you. Iron sharpens iron! Thank you so much for being a True Texan!
