This isn’t the news I wanted to share, but we fell short of our deadline goal by about $18,000.

So I’m emailing you now to ask for $3 to help close the gap.

We know exactly what we need to raise between now and Election Day to win this race, and we set goals like this to make sure we stay on track. These goals are real, and if we miss them, we fall behind.

To stay on track, we need to raise that $18,000 right now. We can’t afford to come up even a dollar short or we will have to cut critical grassroots programs from our budget.

We can win this race but only if we have the resources to compete with the nearly $5 million Republicans are spending on attack ads against us.
