Over the past 25 years, Common Dreams has been building up a base of
donors who make small, monthly contributions to keep us strong and make
our work possible.

Together, contributions from this core group help sustain our coverage
of life-and-death issues, including the climate crisis, America's
forever wars, a racist criminal justice system, and grotesque levels of
economic inequality worldwide.

Over the course of a year, our loyal supporters donate enough to fund
our newsroom team, including health care and the resources they need to

that we love you and the hard-working staff appreciates your support

But that's also why it's so troubling that since the start of the
pandemic, we've seen hundreds of these recurring donors cancel their
contributions.

Clearly—with unemployment approaching 20 percent and so many small
businesses and families pushed to the brink—we know things are hard. We
understand this deeply, and we know that our readers would give more if
they could.

But losing these donors means losing the ongoing base of reliable
support we know we can count on at one of the darkest, most perilous
times in recent history.

With traffic soaring over these recent months, we know our work is being
read and shared more than ever in this crucial moment. So if you're able
