The stakes in the fight for our democracy are rising fast. John Cornyn announced that the FBI will be tracking down the Texas Democrats who left the state to block Trump’s power grab.
This comes right after our corrupt, impeached, twice-indicted Attorney General, Ken Paxton, launched an investigation into Powered by People for the simple act of having the backs of these brave lawmakers.
They’re doing all this to try to intimidate us while they carry out Donald Trump’s plan to steal five Democratic seats in Congress in order to cling on to the House of Representatives.
Instead of trying to win more votes, they’re trying to rig the system to make sure they hold onto power no matter what.
That’s why Texas Democrats left the state to break quorum. It’s the most powerful tool they have to save our democracy.
We’re in this fight for as long as it takes to win. But we need people from across the country to join us if we’re going to win.
