john,
This week marks 60 years since the Voting Rights Act was signed into law. This legislation was a huge milestone in the fight for civil rights and equal access to the ballot box.
But here we are, six decades later, still fighting tooth and nail to defend the right to vote.
Republicans have spent years chipping away at voting rights by passing restrictive laws, pushing discriminatory voter ID requirements, and doing everything they can to silence voters, especially in communities of color— because they know that when more people vote, they lose.
Now, the Trump-appointed Supreme Court is looking at a case that could take another big swing at the Voting Rights Act and weaken it even more. But john, Kim knows our democracy works best when everyone has a say, that’s why she:
✅ Voted for the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore and strengthen the VRA
✅ Supported the For the People Act to expand voting rights and make government more accountable
✅ Spoke out against harmful voter ID laws that suppress turnout, especially among minority voters
Add your name and stand with Kim if you agree: It’s time for the GOP to stop attacking the Voting Rights Act. >> [link removed]
