As a civil rights attorney, Mike has fought for racial justice — taking on racist policing policies and suing corporate landlords for housing discrimination.
Mike understands we must fight for Medicare for All because healthcare is our right, not the privilege of a small few. Medicare for All will play a critical role in uprooting the most systemic inequities in our healthcare system that impact communities of color most of all, freeing us from the deductibles, co-pays, and premiums that keep so many away from the healthcare they need.
Mike believes in what we can do when we come together in this country — that together, we can achieve anything that we put our minds to. We can’t compromise before we even get to the table. We must center the people who don’t have those seats at the table, the people Mike has been fighting for his whole career. And that means we must demand bold change. That is what Mike has done — and what he will continue to do in Congress.
