Soldiers’ Angels Volunteers Save a Beloved Veteran Tradition in Buffalo
Soldiers’ Angels recently had the honor of partnering with the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) at the Buffalo VA. When we learned that PRRC lost its funding for its cherished annual picnic, we knew we couldn’t let this summer tradition fade.
So, our amazing volunteers stepped in to make it happen!
Set against the scenic backdrop of Beaver Island State Park, we fired up the grill and served hot dogs and burgers with all the trimmings. It was more than just a meal—it was a powerful demonstration of community.
The program director shared with heartfelt gratitude that this would have been the first time in over a decade the picnic didn't happen—until Soldiers’ Angels came to the rescue. The Veterans were all smiles... and even the service dogs had a tail-wagging good time!
A heartfelt thank-you to our incredible volunteers everywhere—you make a difference every single day for Service Members, Veterans, and their families!

KTSA Hosts Another Incredible Operation Appreciation
We’re thrilled to share that KTSA once again hosted Operation Appreciation—and thanks to their incredible support, this year’s care package supply collection drive was a huge success!
San Antonio-area businesses stepped up in a big way, donating a massive amount of care package supplies for deployed Service Members. These generous contributions will go a long way in helping us ensure our heroes know they are remembered and supported.
Thank you, KTSA and the San Antonio community, for making a real difference!
Warm Smiles at the Fresno VA
Look how happy this Veteran is to receive a handmade no-sew blanket! During recent patient visits at the Fresno VA, Soldiers’ Angels volunteers handed out cozy blankets, hygiene kits, and plenty of smiles.
Want to join in and make an impact in Fresno? We have a BBQ in coming up at the end of August and could use more volunteers to help us serve those who served.

📣 Thank You, Amazon Local Good!
Behind every successful Soldiers’ Angels event is a network of incredible supporters making our mission possible. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Amazon Local Good, whose generosity is helping us go further without increasing costs.
Their in-kind support—valued at over $27,000 so far—has allowed us to:
✅ Transport Girl Scout Cookies to Service Members and VA Hospitals nationwide
✅ Ship essential items to our Military & Veteran Food Distributions
✅ Save over $3,000 by moving grocery bags to our New York warehouse
✅ Secure ongoing food and snack donations from a new partner by covering shipping costs we couldn’t otherwise afford
Thanks to Amazon Local Good, we can do even more for Service Members, Veterans, and military families. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment to those who serve. 💙
✈️ Connecting with New Airmen at Randolph AFB
Shoutout to our San Antonio team for welcoming newly assigned Airmen during the First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC) at Randolph AFB! This five-day orientation is designed for first-term enlisted members, and we were honored to be part of it.
In just five minutes, we introduced Soldiers’ Angels and shared how we support Service Members throughout their military journey. And because we never show up empty-handed, we brought plenty of snacks to help them power through training. 💪🍪
Welcome to San Antonio—and thank you for your service!
