Folks, I’ll cut to the chase: We’re right in the thick of the infamous Summer fundraising Slump.

I get it. It’s August, people are traveling, parents are whittling down the school supply list, and we’re all soaking up the last few weeks of warm weather before the other extreme sets in (ah, Midwestern weather).

It’s at times like this that I wish running for office didn’t cost two arms and three legs. If you’ve seen my socials, you know I’d much rather tell you all the down n' nerdy details about crypto and banking regulations, or dive into deep-cut climate science.

But in our current political system, when it comes to winning elections, resources are the name of the game.
