George Floyd’s death was a tragedy. Anyone who has seen that video cannot draw any other conclusion. The fact is, he was failed miserably by Minneapolis and its leadership. And the policemen involved in the death of George Floyd will face trial.

In the middle of this tragedy, Antifa and radical leaders on the left are using these events as an opportunity to force a socialist agenda, rewrite our history, undermine the Constitution, and fundamentally change the identity of our country. Angry mobs are demolishing public property and toppling statues to the ground. The chaos has to stop.

Yesterday, I joined my colleagues on the steps of the Capitol to call out Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader Schumer for their negligence and refusal to stand up to the vandals wreaking havoc and defacing monuments – including our Veterans’ World War II Memorial on the National Mall.

While the left plays political games, President Trump and Republicans in Congress have taken meaningful steps to address police reform. But, Pelosi blocked the GOP police reform bill, saying Republicans were trying to “get away with murder.”

Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and the extreme liberal leaders who are giving Antifa a voice in Congress must be stopped. I am more resolved than ever to fight against the Washington insanity and get results for you.
