80% of health facilities are running out of fuel in Gaza

As the situation in Gaza deteriorates, famine, violence, and fuel shortages threaten the lives of women and girls and where almost all that have been displaced are sleeping in the open, with no means of protection

Some 80% of health facilities are at imminent risk of running out of fuel. The lack of fuel has triggered widespread telecommunications failure, severing hotlines for survivors. They are now even more isolated, invisible in a collapsing protection system where making even remote case management is unfeasible.

Through it all, case workers at UNFPA-supported safe spaces continue to do all they can to deliver crucial care to the most vulnerable.

Case workers like Salma, a dedicated mother of four and a case manager in Khan Younis, stressed the need for continuation of these services. "We feel the urgent needs of women and recognize the importance of supporting them. A small effort can make a big difference in their lives."

Dignity Kits and vital supplies are currently depleted and three UNFPA-supported safe spaces have been forced to shut down, with the remaining 14 at very limited capacity. Your gift can equip case workers with the resources they need to sustain crucial services for women and girls and deliver lifesaving care to those who need it most. No amount is too small to make a difference.

MAKE A LIFESAVING GIFT

Despite continuing hostilities and their own displacement, case workers like Asmaa are still providing lifesaving services and dignity to survivors in Gaza. Essential equipment and files have been lost so they must re-establish services from scratch in impossible circumstances.

“Despite all the difficulties, I continue to support abused women and girls,” Asmaa, who has been forced to move 10 times since the war began, told us.

“I feel a deep sense of empathy for every case I support. I fully understand the pain of need, hunger and repeated displacement.”

As Salma, Asmaa, and other case workers strive to continue their vital work amid dwindling supplies, their ability to reach and support women in need is severely compromised and they need your help.

Your support at this critical moment can help sustain case workers and essential programs, providing a lifeline to thousands of women who depend on them for safety and care. Please consider making an emergency gift to help provide aid and maintain operations in Gaza during this dire crisis.

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and hope for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas, and an end to the violence. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.

Thank you for helping ensure no woman or girl is left without support when she needs it most.
