[ [link removed] ]NRA celebrates Trump's big bill
Congress is in recess—but we're not taking a break!

We're showing up at the district offices of ANY lawmaker that's doing
the gun lobby's bidding and preparing for the battles ahead when
Congress returns.

and secure gun safety wins with a donation today >>

Hi-

The big budget bill that Congress passed and Trump signed into law
recently weakens the National Firearms Act and makes it easier for people
to buy silencers, short-barreled shotguns and rifles, and other dangerous
weapons.

And of course, the NRA was quick to celebrate the bill and thanked Trump
for his "unwavering" support.

Now, the NRA says it's ready to keep fighting for its extreme guns
everywhere agenda in Congress. We're not going to sit back and let the gun
lobby dismantle our gun safety laws.

Our grassroots coalition of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action
volunteers is already showing up at the district offices and town halls of
the lawmakers in Congress who voted to weaken our gun laws. Holding
members of Congress accountable at this scale and keeping our entire
organizing operation going strong will take all of us chipping in.

[ [link removed] ]Can you rush a donation to the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and
Moms Demand Action to help us scale up our accountability campaign? We
need to let NRA-friendly lawmakers know that their constituents demand gun
safety, not reckless votes for the gun lobby.

When members of the U.S. House and Senate voted for the budget bill, they
voted to slash taxes on silencers, short-barreled shotguns and rifles, and
other dangerous weapons, which will increase the sale of these deadly
weapons and secure more gun industry profits.

In the wrong hands, silencers make it harder for bystanders or law
enforcement to identify and react quickly to gunshots. This $1.7 billion
giveaway to the gun industry will put people in danger.

Weakening regulations on silencers and other dangerous weapons is just the
start, but our base of nearly 11 million supporters are ready to mobilize
and make noise: we're holding lawmakers accountable, generating massive
pressure campaigns to make them change course, and reminding them that if
they don't stand up to the gun lobby, we'll vote them out and replace them
with leaders who will stand up for gun safety. Are you in to help?

[ [link removed] ]In order to make noise and hold lawmakers accountable, we need
resources right now. Chip in today to help us take our plans to the next
level to stop the NRA's guns everywhere agenda and protect our communities
from gun violence.

Thank you for being with us in this fight.
