Governor Walz visited FarmFest in Morgan this week, joining farmers, producers, and agricultural leaders from across Minnesota to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities. Governor Walz announced this week that Minnesota is ranked the third best state to have a baby. The WalletHub study ranked states across key metrics including cost and health care accessibility, and baby and family friendliness. Minnesota's ranking is due in part to low health insurance premiums, high-quality health care, and access to child care centers.
"Minnesota just ranked the third best state to have a baby. That's no coincidence," said Governor Walz. "We’re expanding paid leave and child care, delivering a nation-leading child tax credit, and investing in public schools. We’re putting families first and it’s making a difference."
