Last week, I was proud to advocate for California’s Central Coast, and our nation as a whole, by supporting the INVEST in America Act. 

This bill ensures our communities have the ability to repair existing infrastructure and provides essential funding to build new infrastructure that can withstand the effects of extreme weather due to climate change.

There is no question that every dollar we spend on repairing our infrastructure is a sound investment.  Many of our local governments are struggling under the weight of budget shortfalls as a result of COVID-19, and this bill will provide essential resources to keep our communities safe.

I was proud to work closely with local leaders in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties and secure funding for essential investments like ensuring the safety of our bridges and making public transit a priority.

I am committed to fighting for you, and the residents of California’s Central Coast, but I need to ask for your support.
