Attorney General Ken Paxton just filed a lawsuit to remove me from office.

He’s using the courts to silence the voters of House District 136 who repeatedly elected me to serve them in the Texas Capitol.

I didn’t swear my oath of office to Ken Paxton. I swore to uphold the Constitution–a constitution that protects our right to representation, our right to fair elections, and our right to break quorum.

I’m not threatened by this lawsuit or any of the others that Ken Paxton has wasted Texas taxpayers’ money on.

But it’s clear that he’s intimidated by us.

Texas Republicans know that this mid-decade redistricting scheme is their only chance to save the GOP majority in Congress.

If we stop these maps, they have no other choice. They would have to face the American people with an agenda that has kicked them off healthcare, defunded their children's schools, and tanked our economy with tariffs and uncertainty. 

We are staying exactly where we are. And we’re more committed than ever to stopping this power grab, but it’s going to take all of us.
