Dear John,
You probably think what’s happening in Washington right now is a total abomination.
You’re probably looking at Donald Trump’s incompetent administration and thinking there’s no way any of these people will ever return to office.
You probably saw Congress quit on America and head to recess early over the Epstein files and thought to yourself, “There’s no way MAGA keeps their majority next year.”
We wish we could just say these things are true, but as you’ve seen in the past, if MAGA works hard at anything (and they don’t work hard at much), it’s keeping their jobs.
As you read this, Texas lawmakers are fighting tooth and nail to gerrymander the lines, silence thousands of votes, and eliminate FIVE Democratic US House seats. For reference, Republicans won the House by a five-seat majority back in November. This is a big deal.
Why are they doing this? Because they’re scared. They see our movement growing, they see MAGA frustrated with Donald Trump, and they know that without making drastic moves, they’ll lose control in 2026.
While the Democratic Party would normally take the high road here, we want to know your opinion, states like New York and California are thinking about fighting back. What would you like to see our side do? Should we just wait it out? Or should we step in and do some gerrymandering of our own?
Getting ready for the midterms means hearing from the voters who will drive the charge in 2026. That’s you. Take our survey to let us know what your next step would be >>
