Folks, in “shocking” news, Greg Abbott’s threats against House lawmakers turned up empty today — but this fight is still going. They’re searching for Texas House Dems around the country to conduct civil arrests and bring them home to force quorum and a vote.

Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton think they are master strategists. They think they can rattle our House Dems with unlawful (not to mention undemocratic, authoritarian, insane) threats to vacate their seats or arrest them.
In reality, they can’t help but trip over their own damn clown shoes. Abbott literally said this nonsense:
“We’re going to keep expanding the map. We’re going to keep going. What I’m thinking now is that if they don’t start showing up, I may start expanding. We may make it six or seven or eight new seats we’re going to be adding on the Republican side.”
Wait a minute — what? Let me clarify: he’s holding the voters of Texas hostage and threatening to rip even more of their voting rights away by redrawing the maps to gerrymander away even more Democrat-held seats.
Absolutely not.
Let’s be the ones to stop them. Rush a donation of any size right now — every single dollar goes into shutting down Abbott and Paxton’s pathetic little plot.
Ken’s role is basically being Abbott’s hype man, cheering from the sidelines like he’s at the world’s WORST pep rally. And they just gave away the game: “come back to Austin by 1 PM CT today, or we’re going to replace you.”
If you’re thinking, “Wait, they can’t do that, can they?” you’d be right. They can’t! And yet they are racing towards a self-inflicted, made-up deadline in just a few hours like it’s some big cinematic finale — as if jamming this MAGA map through faster will make it less illegal.
Here’s the truth: there is no law, precedent, or statute that gives them the power to vacate seats in the legislature or use the freakin’ FBI to “round up” our members. No matter what they try, they can’t hide the fact that they are bad at their jobs.
They can’t convince you outright that their policy agenda will make your life better (it won’t), so they have to lie and steal to get what they want.
We’ve got hours left to flood them with opposition before the deadline hits — and to fund the fight that’ll smack down this garbage map in the courts and at the ballot box.
