Dear SVN Members and Beloved Community,

We hope you are enjoying your summer as much as possible, staying off news cycles and getting outside and off the screens some. Checking in that you are living life to the fullest.

Thank you for your patience and for bearing with us as the new Board gets up to speed! Since some of us are new to the organization and we're all volunteers, we've been busy behind the scenes. This is our inaugural newsletter, so don't worry—you haven't missed anything yet… We’ve just been under a rock, figuring things out, and are excited to bring you monthly newsletters! Woot!

After reforming our Board structure and leadership, we're excited to be back in action! Rob Lederer stepped down as Board Chair to focus on his family, a decision we deeply respect, and we're grateful for his years of dedicated service to SVN. Dror Yaron has taken on the Board Chair role, and we appreciate his leadership during this upcoming timeframe.

** What We’ve Been Up To
------------------------------------------------------------

1. Starting to plan an In-Person SVN 2026 gathering (and promoting regional gatherings)
2. Revitalizing peer groups and potentially other sector-based Biz circles
3. Starting to plan quarterly online Town Halls and guest speaker line-ups
4. We have an ENORMOUS spreadsheet of tasks to do… it took a minute to assemble ALL of those tasks; when it comes to building a new organization, it’s ALOT!
5. Deciding on Board committees, Chairs, and process. We are a working volunteer Board, and new to each other. (Thanks for giving us grace! )

Our Top Priorities Now

* Peer circles and other business sector circles are up and running
* Online programming and community gatherings
* 2026 in-person gathering planning

Public comments due by Sept 15. Make your voice heard. Stop this by telling the EPA what you think here. ([link removed]) We know what you think.
