Oklahoma,

While I usually send a weekly newsletter update on Friday, we worked through last weekend to confirm more of President Trump’s critical nominees. Currently, we stand at 136 confirmations—compared to just 55 at this same point during President Trump’s first term. Over the next few weeks, my Senate Republican colleagues and I will be evaluating rule change options to confirm the rest of President’s team and STOP the historic obstruction from Senate Democrats. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

I recently joined Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. toannounce bold action to protect Americans against the harmful 7-OH substance—a powerful synthetic opioid. This unapproved, dangerous material is being marketed as a “dietary supplement” and has been found in gas stations, vape retailers, and convenience stores across the country. I want to thank Secretary Kennedy for letting me to be part of this mission, and for allowing me to share my family’s experience with addiction. Unfortunately, we’re no different from millions across the country.

It’s my hope that scheduling 7-OH will better equip law enforcement to keep Americans safe, and ultimately save lives. Learn more HERE.

I’ve spoken with President Trump a lot over the past few days about the path to confirm his remaining highly qualified nominees. Last Saturday, Senate Democrats tried to EXTORT President Trump for one billion dollars to fast-track his nominees. Democrat Chuck Schumer kept moving the goalposts on a deal, and the president wasn't having it. President Trump told Senate Democrat extortionists to pound sand. NO DEAL. At the President’s direction, we are going to regroup and prepare to CHANGE the Senate rules when we're back in September. Stay tuned.

Last Friday marked the final day of my office's summer internship program. These interns have been a phenomenal class. Their hard work has done more for Oklahoma than they'll ever know. Whether it was assisting my legislative staff with briefings, helping my communications department, or lending a hand to my administrative team, they excelled at customer service and made our office a welcoming place for all Oklahomans. I want to thank our dedicated interns for their service!

Last Thursday, I hosted a live telephone town hall event with over 20,000 Oklahomans across the state. During the call, I highlighted how Oklahomans will benefit from the recently passed ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ and gave an update on how Senate Republicans are pushing through to get President Trump’s nominees confirmed. Additionally, I also took questions on the president’s trade deals, discussed working towards paying down the national debt, and talked about the importance of supporting our world-class military installations in Oklahoma.

We streamed the live event on Facebook. You can listen to the whole conversation HERE.

Red tape is what drove me to public service. After the announcement of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin’s decision to rescind the Obama-era endangerment finding, I joined Fox News's Harris Faulkner on The Faulkner Focus last Wednesday to discuss how important it is to take a sledgehammer to the regulatory environment. EPA Administrator Zeldin and President Trump are all about consumer choice; that's what America wants! However, my Democrat colleagues couldn't care less. They're more focused on theatrics on the Senate floor.

Chances are, if you've been keeping a close eye on the Senate chamber, you've seen me bouncing a ball. Recently, it's attracted the attention of reporters who can hear me coming from a mile away. Old habits die hard, and this one isn't going away anytime soon. I’m always on the move working for Oklahoma, and rarely sit idly. The Washington Examiner took note of what I jokingly call my "pacifier." Check it out HERE.

Thanks for reading my weekly e-newsletter! It’s an honor to represent the great state of Oklahoma in the U.S. Senate. You can stay in touch by following me on Facebook, X, Instagram, Gettr, Truth Social, and YouTube. As always, don’t hesitate to contact my office if we can help in any way.

God Bless!
