Friend, if you want to know how the GOP will respond, don’t hold your breath.

Rep. Randy Fine isn’t going to apologize for his racist attacks.

Neither is Donald Trump, JD Vance, Elon Musk, Senator Tommy Tuberville, or Rep. Brandon Gill, each of whom have attacked me for my background and my commitment to progressive values.

They’re not going to apologize for voting to take healthcare and food assistance away from millions, or for skyrocketing the cost of living with their reckless tariffs, or for using ICE to erode our civil rights, or for aiding and abetting the deadly humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They’re proud of it.

That’s why we have to defeat them, David.

Any hope that the GOP would do the right thing or play by the rules went out the window when Trump descended that escalator and announced his first run for President back in 2015.

They’re shameless, cruel, and only looking out for themselves and their billionaire buddies. That’s why my focus from now until the midterms next year will be rallying our progressive movement in Minneapolis and across the country to win big against the far-right Republicans.
