Secured Dismissal of Baseless Lawsuit Against Former Teacher Sued for Opposing Radical Gender Ideology Indoctrination |
 |
AFL secured a court victory for our client, Sharon Benson, a former teacher and school board candidate who was targeted with a defamation lawsuit simply for standing up and speaking out against the trans agenda in her school district in Arizona. The Maricopa County Superior Court dismissed all claims against Mrs. Benson.
We were proud to represent Ms. Benson and remain committed to defending free speech and protecting every American’s right to speak out on critical issues — without fear of baseless, punitive litigation.

Filed Federal Civil Rights Complaint Urging DOJ to Hold Harvard Medical School Accountable for Illegal DEI Practices |
 |
AFL filed a federal civil rights complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice, calling for enforcement action against Harvard Medical School for illegal DEI discrimination.
Once the gold standard of higher education, Harvard is now better known for defying the law and the Constitution. AMERICA FIRST LEGAL IN THE NEWS:
|
New York Post: Harvard got $49M from feds to fund unlawful DEI programs, discrimination complaint claims |
“America First Legal (AFL), along with the Department of Justice’s Office of Civil Rights, claimed that the Ivy League school was violating Title VI and Title IX, along with President Trump’s executive actions and the US Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling outlawing race-based affirmative action.
Some of the alleged violations were made possible due to the closure of Harvard’s Office for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Strategic Belonging and opening of the Office for Community and Campus Life — one of many “rebranding” moves that have kept the “substance of its discriminatory DEI practices,” AFL attorney Megan Redshaw wrote in the complaint letter.”

The Federalist: Harvard Continues Race-Based Admissions Even After SCOTUS Affirmative Action Decision: Complaint |
“America First Legal (AFL) filed a civil rights complaint with the Department of Justice detailing a “calculated effort” from Harvard Medical School to continue race-based admissions while appearing to comply with federal law. The complaint, which includes evidence of sex-based preferences as well, notes that Harvard continues to do this because of its dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideology.”
