Last month, the Justice Department under Trump cut more than half of all federal funding for gun violence prevention. That’s a loss of more than $158 million in funding. Dozens of community intervention grants were eliminated—programs that helped de-escalate violence, connect survivors to care, and prevent shootings before they happen.

While our communities are paying the price, the Trump family is cashing in. Donald Trump Jr., who recently joined the board of the online firearms megastore GrabAGun, stands to profit every time a weapon is sold—even as shootings rise and protections disappear. 

Gun manufacturers and the NRA keep getting exactly what they want: fewer rules, more guns, and bigger profits. But we’re not backing down.
