FIRST: Republicans in Texas tried to ram through an undemocratic
redistricting scheme—one designed to take five Democratic-held seats.

THEN: Texas Democrats fought back. They broke quorum—risking backlash and
putting their own political futures on the line—to stop this blatant
authoritarian overreach and defend our democracy.

NOW: Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton are retaliating. They’ve already
threatened fines, arrests, and removal from office, and now Ken Paxton has
launched politically motivated investigations into Powered by People and
Texas Majority PAC—just for supporting the Democrats who took a stand.
