͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌State Representative Gene Wu is a patriot and a leader. He is also our neighbor in TX07. As the leader of the Texas House Democratic Caucus, Representative Wu is leading the charge against Governor Abbott and Texas Republicans’ shameful surrender to Donald Trump. He has led with courage and conviction at a moment where our state and our country need it most.
How are Republicans responding? Well, the Governor is trying to remove this duly elected State Representative from office. Governor Abbott filed a petition directly with the Supreme Court to remove Representative Wu from office, even though he has been elected to represent his community overwhelmingly for years. (Last year, he won more than 76% of the vote!)
This isn’t just unprecedented. It’s un-American.
