This morning, Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn announced that Kash Patel had agreed to his request to deploy the FBI to help locate the Texas Democrats who left the state to prevent Republican gerrymandering efforts.
That’s right: Republicans are so desperate to rig the map in Texas that they’re enlisting the FBI as a tool in their corrupt scheme.
The fact that Texas Republicans are blatantly trying to steal five Democratic seats in 2026 means they know that their agenda is a losing one. But if they succeed, they could continue clinging to power in Congress in 2026 and beyond.
That’s why Republicans are desperate to win this fight. And that’s why we need to be laser-focused on this, too.
The Texas Democrats who left the state to prevent a vote on the rigged map are brave, and they need to know that Democrats across the country have their backs. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
