This Bill Clarifies a Woman's Right to their Sex-Designated Spaces. |
The Texas Senate officially passed the Texas Women's Privacy Act, 19 to 2, which protects women's spaces like restrooms, locker rooms, and prisons from male intrusion.
SB 7, authored by Senator and Attorney General candidate Mayes Middleton and Senator Lois Kolkhorst, passed in a 19-2 vote with Democrat Senator Chuy Hinojosa and Democrat Senator Judith Zaffirini voting against.
A companion bill has been put forward in the House by Representative Valoree Swanson. With 81 co-authors, it has plenty of support, but this bill has not had a hearing yet because Democrat members have fled the state due to the Redistricting issue. Watch the press conference with Senator Mayes Middleton prior to the vote in Senate State Affairs Committee on Monday, Aug. 4. |

47,250 Texas Classrooms have been adopted! That's roughly 1,327 schools adopted out of 9,794 in Texas, which is 10% complete!
Texas Values helped lead the passage of the Texas Ten Commandments Law (SB 10) this legislative session, which by law, allows the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms across Texas. But it’s up to the people of Texas to help implement this new law—and you can play a vital role. For the Ten Commandments to be displayed, the poster or framed copy must be donated to the school(s).
Visit TenCommandmentsTexas.com and select the school(s) in your area, purchase posters by following a simple step-by-step guide to donate them to your local school and district. You can also volunteer to deliver posters to schools. Our goal is to distribute posters by Sept. 1!
If Texans across the state participate, we can ensure that the Ten Commandments are restored to every classroom in our great state. We encourage you to involve your neighbors, church small group, or family in this important effort. While adopting a school, please take a moment to mark "Texas Values" in the referral drop down menu so we can keep track of volunteer statistics! |

Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values discusses the importance of the Texas Women's Privacy Act with Special Guest Kylee Alons, Ambassador with ICONS! |
"We were not forewarned…knowing that I would have to compete against him. We were faced with it when we were in the locker room with Lia. (Will "Lia" Thomas). It was a hostile environment. The women athletes were failed on so many levels, by the school administrators, coaches, the NCAA officials…and everybody knew this was wrong…but at the end of the day we weren’t protected.
My encouragement is that if a woman is listening, you’re not alone and your story is what is going to drive the change." ~ Kylee Alons
Her interview is available to view on our YouTube Channel and on our Facebook page.
