WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK

Busy week here at True the Vote!  We're getting reports from voters in Georgia, New York, Maryland, Kentucky, Wisconsin, New Jersey and many others about problems with mail-in voting - receiving more than one ballot, receiving other voters' ballots, or not receiving a ballot at all.  Citizens need to get involved in every way possible to help support the integrity of this process...but the "rules of engagement" are changing fast.

To make election service opportunities more transparent and accessible we've kicked off the Call Your County crowdsourcing project. Our team mapped a list of election offices in nearly all 3,141 counties and county equivalents in the 50 States and District of Columbia.  NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP.  We've put together a list of simple questions that can be asked of your local election office. We ask that you in return submit their answers on our website which will be added to an online directory so that willing election volunteers can see local options for service.  Please take 15 minutes, go to this link, find your county, give the election office a call, and share what you learn.

Our country needs all hands on deck to help support the accuracy, efficiency, and security of the upcoming election.  The goal is to leave no election worker position unmanned.  Knowing how to get involved is the first step.  Let's do this.  CLICK HERE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CALL YOUR COUNTY PROJECT.

Onward!

NEWS TO KNOW

1. In New Jersey this week, the state Attorney General charged four people for voter fraud, including the vice president of the Paterson City Council and a City Council candidate. Over 800 ballots in Paterson were invalidated for appearing in mailboxes improperly bundled together – including one mailbox where hundreds of ballots were in a single packet. The board of elections disqualified another 2,300 ballots after concluding that the signatures on them did not match the signatures on voter records. This is but one example of the chaos that will ensue across the country in November as states continue pursuing universal vote by mail.

2. AG Barr stands on the right side of election integrity. In an interview with Fox News, Barr cited concerns about ballots being lost, people’s votes not remaining secret, and the risk of foreign intervention in the election via mail. Read on to see more about what America’s "top cop" had to say about his concern for expanded mail-in ballots. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2020/06/21/ag_bill_barr_mail-in_ballots_open_the_flood_gates_for_voter_fraud.html

3. Georgia lawmakers seek to rectify mail-in ballot chaos. A Georgia House committee has filed legislation to prohibit election officials from mass mailing absentee ballot applications to all registered voters for the general election. The move comes in response to the botched primary effort where numerous voters reported never receiving a ballot. https://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/bill-would-ban-repeat-georgia-absentee-ballot-request-mailings/hpXad0RidSRMOHXdVpLq2N/
