Take Note

Last month, ASBN warned of the significant challenges that businesses would face across the country should the 2025 Reconciliation Bill pass the House, and unfortunately, as we are all aware, it did. Nevertheless, the crucial work of sharing the business voice for a responsible and just economy continues.

ASBN state affiliate member New Jersey Sustainable Business Network penned a compelling opinion piece arguing that the H.R. 1 budget reconciliation bill threatens America's energy independence and economic progress. NJSBN highlighted that eliminating $336 billion in clean energy tax credits would devastate jobs. The piece also argues that increased oil reliance weakens national security, contrasting how foreign adversaries can disrupt oil supplies but cannot prevent domestic solar and wind generation. Read the full opinion piece here to see how our New Jersey affiliate is making the business case for smart energy policy.
