Last week Trump fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner for
reporting job numbers he didn’t like.

He claimed the numbers were “rigged” to make him look bad, but we know
that’s a bunch of BS.

This decision will have real, negative effects on our entire economy. If
companies can’t count on these numbers to be legitimate, it may slow down
hiring and investment decisions. That’s bad for our whole economy and bad
for workers.

California needs a governor who will stand up to Trump and lower costs for
families. That’s exactly the kind of governor Katie Porter will be.

In Congress, Katie Porter grilled Trump officials who tried to spin the
truth and reminded them they work for the American people. As governor,
she’ll keep calling out lies and power grabs–and she’ll actually build an
economy that works for everyone.
