Per the Constitution, the allocation of congressional districts is determined by the US census. Despite the fact that the last census was conducted by the Trump administration, the president is now claiming that it was somehow unfair to Republicans and must be redone.
But why? In retaliation to Texas’s gerrymander, California Governor Gavin Newsom has pledged to go tit for tat and will remove nearly all of California’s Republican districts.
In order for MAGA’s plan to salvage the midterms via nationwide gerrymandering to work, they need to blunt the impact of retaliation from states like California and New York by re-allocating their congressional districts to red state like Ohio and Texas. They will use a rigged census to do this.
It’s already too late for Texas, Democrats will lose countless blue seats here. But it’s not too late for Pennsylvania, yet another newly opened front in the redistricting war, where MAGA is attempting to replace their Supreme Court so that they can do exactly what they’re doing in Texas.
We have less than three months until our November 2025 judicial election where the fate of the democratic majority on Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court stands to be removed. Unless Dems get our act together this will happen.
