Friend, Misole François was scared.
Her 11-month-old daughter, Erns-schy, was sick. She had a skin infection, and Misole couldn't afford the medicine she needed to get better. Hospitals were too far away. Fuel prices were too high. And even if she could get there, the hospital might be out of the needed supplies of medicine.
That's the reality for far too many families in Haiti - and around the world.
But one day, a Project HOPE mobile medical unit came to her neighborhood. Misole and Erns-schy were finally able to see a doctor and get the medication they needed - and today, she's recovered.
Access to health care should never depend on how far you live from a clinic or whether you can afford to get there. But for millions of people around the world, it does.
